We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR professional to lead our leave of absence and workers’ compensation programs while supporting a positive, compliant, and people centered workplace.
What you will do:
Leave of Absence and Accommodation Management
- Administer FMLA, CFRA, PDL, and other protected leaves from initial notice through return to work
- Determine eligibility, manage documentation, request medical certifications, and track intermittent or reduced schedule leave
- Lead the interactive process and manage reasonable accommodation requests under the ADA
- Coordinate return to work transitions and advise on next steps when employees do not return from leave
- Guide employees on how leave, PTO, disability benefits, and workers’ compensation interact
- Partner with payroll to ensure accurate pay, deductions, and timekeeping during leave
- Maintain accurate and confidential leave and accommodation records
Workers’ Compensation and Safety Compliance
- Administer workers’ compensation claims and track incidents and reports
- Collaborate with carriers and employees to ensure timely and effective claim resolution
- Maintain OSHA logs, prepare and post annual OSHA 300A forms, and ensure regulatory compliance
Employee Relations and HR Support
- Support employee concerns, performance coaching, and investigations
- Partner with HR leadership on complex employee relations matters
- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment laws
- Contribute to HR programs including HRIS management, performance management, and talent initiatives Promote a culture grounded in respect, inclusion, and accountability
What you will bring:
- 3 to 5 years of HR experience including leave administration, employee relations, and workers’ compensation
- Strong working knowledge of federal, California employment and leave laws
- Experience managing FMLA, CFRA, ADA accommodations, and workers’ compensation claims
- HRIS and database experience required
- Excellent communication, analytical, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with strong attention to detail
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Dedication to continuous learning and staying current on HR trends and compliance updates
