Senior Manager, HR Business Partner
Full-Time | Hybrid | California
An established and growing organization is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to support leadership teams across designated business units and regional offices. This person will play a critical role in shaping talent strategy, driving organizational effectiveness, and building strong partnerships with leaders.
This role can be based in Los Angeles or San Francisco with a hybrid work arrangement.
About the Role
The Senior HR Business Partner collaborates closely with leaders to align talent initiatives with business goals. This individual will support organizational development, manage complex employee relations matters, lead change initiatives, and influence long‑term workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to understand strategic priorities and build talent solutions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Develop and lead communication and change management plans for talent initiatives and broader organizational programs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on talent‑related matters, offering guidance and insights to leadership.
- Analyze workforce trends to recommend programs, policies, and operational improvements.
- Lead initiatives in talent growth, succession planning, and performance management.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues across multiple business units and locations.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies, helping mitigate organizational risks.
- Build strong working relationships that enhance morale, productivity, and employee engagement.
- Support best practices for hiring, promotions, and internal mobility.
- Help refine and strengthen internal processes for the talent partner function.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret and apply employment laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Strong time‑management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools.
- Experience managing projects of varying complexity.
- Advanced ability to handle complex employee relations matters.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a related discipline.
- Human Resources certifications (e.g., SHRM‑CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR).
- Nine or more years of HR experience, ideally within a professional services or similarly complex environment.
Compensation & Schedule
- Salary Range: $180,000 – $247,000 annually, depending on experience and education.
- Schedule: Hybrid (Los Angeles or San Francisco).
