SciPro is currently engaged with a global biotechnology company seeking a Manager or Senior Manager, HR to partner closely with the HR Director to execute and enhance the company’s human resources strategy. This role will be the right-hand person to the Director and will assist in supporting the full employee lifecycle, ensuring operational excellence, and contributing to building a high-performing, engaged, and compliant workforce. The HR Manager will serve as a trusted resource for managers and employees, fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting strategic HR initiatives.
Must Haves -
Location - near Westlake Village, CA - will be hybrid 2-3 days onsite
Background - biotech/pharma/med device/nanotechnology/laboratory background needed
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Support
- Assist in executing full-cycle recruitment strategies, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience.
- Help develop and maintain diversified sourcing channels to attract top talent.
- Support coordination with external recruiting partners and internal stakeholders to meet hiring objectives.
Employee Lifecycle Management
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, employee information changes, and terminations.
- Ensure accurate HR record-keeping and compliance with employment regulations.
- Assist in creating, updating, and communicating HR policies and procedures, including the employee handbook.
Performance Management & Employee Engagement
- Support managers in clearly communicating performance expectations and providing ongoing feedback.
- Act as an employee advocate by addressing concerns promptly and compassionately.
- Help maintain a strong company culture and employee engagement initiatives aligned with organizational values.
Leadership Support & HR Consultation
- Provide guidance and consultative support to managers on HR programs, policies, and employee relations matters.
- Partner with leaders to enhance team performance and support executive leadership development.
- Assist the HR Director in coaching and developing HR team members to maintain a high-performing department.
HR Projects & Strategic Initiatives
- Participate in or lead HR projects and initiatives that support organizational goals.
- Assist in reviewing and maintaining strategic programs related to compensation, benefits, learning and development, and performance management to attract and retain top talent.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR) preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally supporting HR leadership or in a generalist capacity.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
