Director of Human Resources for Global Consulting Firm - Miami, FL
About the Role:
Alfa Wave is partnered with a newly launched global consulting firm to appoint its first Director of Human Resources. The firm is founder-led by senior executives with backgrounds in law, diplomacy, and global advisory, and is intentionally building a high-integrity, people-first organization from day one.
As Director of Human Resources you will architect the firm's entire people strategy and infrastructure from the ground up. Working directly with the founders, you'll design the systems, culture, and leadership frameworks that enable the business to grow their US headquarters and scale internationally. This role requires a builder's mindset; strategic, decisive, and comfortable rolling up your sleeves in the early stages while laying the groundwork for a world-class organization. Core Responsibilities:
- Build the HR function from zero, including policies, processes, and infrastructure
- Establish compliant, scalable people systems across U.S. and international operations
- Design and implement talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management and career development programs
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational design, planning, and culture
- Act as a true advocate for employees, ensuring fairness, transparency, and trust
- Shape and protect a culture rooted in accountability, respect, and long-term thinking
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited university required
- 10–15 years of progressive HR leadership experience
- Experience building or scaling HR functions in startups, consulting firms, or growth-stage organizations
- A leader who sees HR as a service to the people, not just a compliance function
- Trusted advisor who can balance empathy with decisiveness and business needs
Compensation & Benefits:
- Annual Base Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 (DOE)
