Position Summary
Hanwha Aviation is seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to lead and manage all aspects of human resources for both Hanwha Aviation and Hanwha AeroTechnix globally, based in our brand-new facility located in Miami, Florida. This role will serve as a strategic partner to leadership, ensuring HR policies, programs, and practices support business objectives while fostering a high-performance, compliant, and people-first culture.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in employee relations, talent management, compliance, and HR operations, preferably within aviation, manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business goals and operational needs
- Advise management on workforce planning, organizational development, and change management initiatives
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Management
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for salaried and hourly employees
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define roles, competencies, and staffing plans
- Develop and maintain succession planning and talent development programs
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions
- Support performance management processes, coaching managers on goal setting, feedback, and development plans
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Coordination
- Work with senior leadership to manage compensation structures, benefits administration, and annual review processes
- Partner with payroll providers to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing
Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations in each of our employee bases.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, employee handbook, and internal procedures
- Support audits and regulatory requirements relevant to aviation and defense-related operations
Training & Development
- Identify training needs and implement learning programs to support leadership development, compliance, and employee growth
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and engagement
HR Operations & Reporting
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
- Prepare HR metrics and reports related to turnover, engagement, compliance, and workforce trends
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HR leadership or manager role
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and Florida employment laws and HR best practices
- Proven experience handling employee relations and compliance matters independently
Preferred
- HR experience in aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, or a highly regulated industry
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification
- Experience supporting multi-location or international organizations
