A client of Insight Global is seeking an experienced HR professional to join their high-performing team and support their New York office. The HR Generalist will report to the Regional Head of HR, supporting employees & managers throughout the entire employment lifecycle.
In this role, you will build meaningful relationships with employees, key business stakeholders, colleagues and external service providers. We are seeking a highly agile, innovative and autonomous HR Generalist to join their dynamic private equity environment. This role blends strategic HR leadership with hands-on operational execution. You will be instrumental in driving culture, managing change, optimizing HR processes and enhancing employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Lifecycle Management for US, Canada, and Brazil offices:
- • Lead comprehensive onboarding programs and exit processes, ensuring positive experiences at both entry and departure
- • Manage internal transfers and assignments, coordinating seamless transitions for employees
- • Oversee employee leave cases, including company-paid leave, FMLA, CO-FAMLI, and disability benefits with a focus on employee care and compliance
- • Streamline HR operations through process improvement initiatives and technology optimization
- • Lead and continuously improve core HR processes including onboarding, performance reviews and offboarding
- • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements using data and feedback
- • Own HR reporting and analytics to support data-driven decision-making
- • Act as a liaison with external benefits providers; manage benefits administration and employee communications
- • Support compensation reviews and benchmarking in collaboration with Total Rewards teams
- • Lead open enrollment initiatives, including educational sessions and personalized support
- • Analyze benefits utilization data to recommend program enhancements that improve employee satisfaction while managing costs
- • Coordinate with benefits vendors to resolve issues and ensure optimal service delivery
Strategic Partnership
- • Collaborate with senior leaders to align HR strategies with business goals
- • Participate in organizational design, talent planning and leadership development initiatives
- • Drive change management efforts during integrations and restructuring
- • Promote a culture of innovation, accountability and continuous learning
Culture & Engagement
- • Contribute to the design and implementation of programs that foster employee engagement and cultural alignment
- • Act as a culture champion, embedding values and behaviors across teams
- • Support DEI initiatives and ensure inclusive practices are embedded in all HR processes
- • Conduct stay interviews, exit interviews and employee focus groups to proactively address issues and improve retention
Employee Relations Influence & Trust Building
- • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, conflict resolution and performance management
- • Partner with legal and compliance teams on sensitive matters and investigations
- • Build strong relationships across all levels of the organization, acting as a trusted advisor
- • Influence leaders through data, insights and a deep understanding of business needs
- • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on people management, team dynamics and organizational effectiveness
- • Navigate ambiguity and competing priorities with confidence and clarity
Compliance And Operations
- • Ensure compliance with local labor laws (including EEOC, ADA, FMLA, state mandated FMLA, and other employment regulations)
- • Stay current on legislative changes, providing timely updates and implementation strategies
Qualifications
- • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field;
- • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred
- • 5-10 years of relevant work experience in Human Resources, ideally in financial or professional services and global, complex environments
- • Extensive experience with HR systems (i.e. SuccessFactors and ADP Workforce Now)
- • Proven analytical abilities to derive meaningful insights from HR data, supporting strategic decision-making
- • Experience developing + implementing HR policies and programs that enhance employee experience
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially SharePoint and Excel

Compensation:
$120,000 to $150,000 per year annual salary.
