HR Manager
My client is building sovereign AI infrastructure for enterprises and governments focused on data and compute sovereignty. As a leader in AI infrastructure innovation, they are shaping the next generation of secure, high-performance compute environments.
They are now seeking a hands-on and experienced HR Manager to join their on-site team in New York State, helping to build and maintain a world-class employee experience as the company scales.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead general HR operations across the full employee lifecycle
• Develop and maintain employee handbooks, policies, and procedures in line with NY State and federal law
• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including I-9 compliance, benefits enrolment, and systems access
• Coordinate and support interviews and hiring processes in collaboration with hiring managers
• Administer payroll in partnership with finance, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Ensure legal compliance and maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws, particularly in New York State
• Serve as a point of contact for employee relations, supporting resolution of workplace issues with professionalism and discretion
• Support and improve HR systems, processes, and documentation as the company grows
• Promote a strong, inclusive, and collaborative company culture
Requirements
• Proven experience in a broad HR role (3–7 years preferred), ideally within a tech or fast-paced growth environment
• Strong knowledge of US and New York State employment law and HR compliance
• Experience creating employee handbooks and policies
• Familiar with payroll systems and onboarding best practices
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working on-site in a dynamic, high-growth company
