CONTRACT Role - Estimated 3 months
We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Generalist for an estimated 3-month contract role with a client in San Francisco, California. This role will be 3 days a week on-site (close to BART location). This role involves managing diverse HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, and talent acquisition. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic but hands on mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to handle complex HR operations effectively. We are looking for a strong HRG or Business Partner who is OK with handling all day-to-day operations in addition to the more senior level employee relations management and benefits duties.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily HR operations, including managing the employee lifecycle, resolving employee relations cases, and administering leaves and benefits as required.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws while implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Conduct and document internal investigations, working closely with HR leadership to recommend disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Coach managers and employees on HR best practices and provide guidance on company policies.
• Partner with hiring managers to address staffing needs by managing the entire recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing candidates to onboarding new hires.
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies, including defining role expectations and creating evaluation criteria.
• Maintain accurate recruitment data in the applicant tracking system and provide regular updates on hiring activities.
• Identify and engage potential candidates, ensuring a seamless experience from initial outreach to final offer acceptance.
• Collaborate with leadership to promote a positive and compliant workplace culture.
• Utilize HR systems effectively to support operational and recruitment processes.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in human resources (8+ at HR generalist level), including employee relations and leaves management expertise
• Proven expertise in full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
• HR certification is preferred but not required.
• Requirement to have ADP experience (as HRIS) and familiarity with recruitment platforms such as Workable and LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Strong knowledge of benefits administration and leave management processes.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to handle confidential matters sensitively.
• Demonstrated ability to manage compliance with labor laws at the federal, state, and local levels.
• Experience coaching managers and employees on HR policies and best practices.
