Job Overview
Under the regular direction of the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, performs responsible work in relation to the Board’s recruitment, applicant processing and testing of non-professional staff.
What You Will Be Doing
- Ensures job postings are accurate and reflective of the DFW brand and current recruitment requirements.
- Assists in developing “best qualified” criteria based on Board needs and department specifications.
- Screens nonprofessional (hourly) staff applications and resumes; may conduct phone screen interviews; refers best-suited applicants for department interviews.
- Processes applicant and employee data using an Applicant Tracking System and other HR software tools in a timely manner. Ensures documentation is complete and accurate.
- Ensures that staffing and selection practices comply with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Monitors affirmative action goals, utilization, and diversity objectives to ensure that strategies are deployed to meet and or exceed the Board’s goals in these areas.
- Assisting with research of new and pending legislation and laws affecting Board recruiting and selection programs.
- Develops and maintains appropriate and required records.
- Assists with developing the annual recruitment plan consistent with the Board’s diversity objectives.
- Attends job fairs, College Career Fairs, Professional Association Meetings, Social and Community Events, and other Networking Events
- Conducts outreach with community-based agencies and organizations frequently to maintain a positive working relationship with the Board and community leaders.
- Builds effective relationships within and across the business.
- Assist in building a strong potential candidate pipeline strategy for customers by executing indirect and direct candidate sourcing, sourcing channel optimization and proactive development of talent pools.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with significant coursework in human resources, business or public administration or a related field.
- Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
