Our client in Passaic County is seeking an experienced HR & Benefits Consultant to begin immediately. This role is critical to ensuring a seamless transition in managing our full benefits lifecycle and supporting employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of employee benefits administration, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.
Manage open enrollment from planning through execution.
Handle employee leaves of absence (FMLA, STD/LTD, parental leave), worker’s compensation claims, and benefits-related employee inquiries.
Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits vendors, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
Utilize Paycor and the Paycor Benefits Advisor platform to administer and maintain benefit plans.
Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, etc.).
Maintain accurate benefit records and support audits, reporting, and data integrity.
Partner with HR to support onboarding, offboarding, and employee experience initiatives.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration or HR with a strong benefits focus.
Experience managing open enrollment and complex benefits programs.
Strong knowledge of leaves, worker’s compensation, and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with Paycor and/or similar HRIS/benefits admin systems (Paycor experience strongly preferred).
HRSP, SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR a plus.
Strong communication, employee service, and organizational skills.
Ability to start immediately and manage a fast transition period.
