As Director of HR, you’ll provide human resources leadership and guidance to field sales associates across multiple brand partners and retailers. In this critical role, you’ll act as an HR partner to field leadership, delivering support across the U.S. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams including Recruiting, Sales and Finance.
You will report to the VP of Sales, while supervising one direct report. As Director of HR, you will oversee such activities as onboarding, coaching, performance management, associate relations and talent reviews. Please note this role is 5 days in office.
Role Description
- Serve as a strategic resource to field team members by providing guidance on workplace matters and fostering an environment that supports client and associate success.
- Provide day-to-day HR support to field managers and employees, including fielding relevant questions, conflict resolution, coaching, and performance concerns.
- Escalate complex issues appropriately while fostering a supportive and compliant work environment.
- Build strong relationships across sales workforce through providing support and building trust.
- Partner with Recruiting to shape hiring plans, define searches, and achieve recruitment goals.
- Oversee onboarding and off boarding experiences that support business culture.
- Oversee leave of absence and accommodations programs, and partner with external legal counsel to manage compliance and mitigate risk.
- Ensure field practices are aligned with internal policies and federal/state labor laws.
- Maintain accurate and timely employee records in compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Key Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Must have experience in retail field talent management
- Strong knowledge of key HR practices including onboarding, coaching, employee relations, compliance and performance management
- Able to lead difficult conversations, and recommend solutions
- Demonstrated ability to coach, influence, and align field teams around HR practices, organisational goals and values
- Ability to successfully work under pressure, handle multiple highly sensitive issues and manage competing priorities
- Deep knowledge of multi-state labor laws and compliance requirements
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to promote an inclusive work environment and support workforce diversity
- Strong analytical skills
- HR experience in luxury retail environments preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Salary $100,000- $125,000
