The Human Resources Manager is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources across a multi-state manufacturing organization. This role partners closely with executive and operational leadership to align HR strategy with business objectives while ensuring compliance, workforce effectiveness, and a strong employee experience.
The HR Manager will lead employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, performance management, benefits administration, and HR systems while supporting both hourly and salaried populations in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Workforce Planning
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy
• Develop and execute HR initiatives aligned with business growth and operational goals
• Drive continuous improvement in HR processes, systems, and policies
Employee Relations & Compliance:
• Lead employee relations activities, including investigations, coaching, discipline, and conflict resolution
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Manage risk by maintaining consistent policy application and documentation practices
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
• Oversee full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried roles
• Develop talent pipelines for critical manufacturing roles
• Enhance onboarding programs to improve retention and productivity
Performance Management & Development:
• Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and corrective actions
• Support leadership development and employee training initiatives
• Promote a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations
• Administer benefits programs, including renewals, open enrollment, and vendor management
• Partner with leadership on compensation strategy and market alignment
• Oversee HRIS systems, data integrity, reporting, and analytics
• Manage workers’ compensation, leave administration (FMLA), and unemployment claims
HR Metrics & Reporting
• Track and analyze HR KPIs (turnover, retention, absenteeism, headcount, time-to-fill)
• Provide actionable insights to leadership for decision-making
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required)
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR certification (preferred)
• 5–8+ years of progressive HR experience
• 2–4+ years in an HR leadership role
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site environments (strongly preferred)
• Knowledge of multi-state employment laws
• Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)

Working Conditions
This role operates in both office and manufacturing environments and requires regular presence on the production floor. Flexibility is required to support multiple shifts and urgent employee matters. Occasional travel between locations is expected.
