OVERVIEW
The Part-Time Human Resources Business Partner provides strategic and operational HR support to the division on a flexible, part-time basis (20–30 hours per week). This role partners with leadership to support employee relations, performance management, and key HR initiatives while ensuring alignment with company policies and compliance requirements.
This position is fully remote, with initial onboarding conducted onsite in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and occasional travel required for team engagement and business needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary HR partner for leaders and employees, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workplace concerns
- Manage and support employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and coaching managers on appropriate actions
- Partner with leadership on performance management processes, including addressing performance concerns and supporting documentation
- Support recruiting efforts by partnering with hiring managers on candidate selection, interview processes, and hiring decisions (execution may be shared or supported)
- Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Partner with corporate HR or external resources on benefits, compensation, and compliance-related matters as needed
- Support employee engagement initiatives, including communications, surveys, and action planning
- Monitor workforce trends and provide insights to leadership (e.g., turnover, engagement, overtime trends)
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, particularly in a multi-state environment
- Participate in key meetings and maintain consistent communication with leadership despite a flexible schedule
- Travel occasionally to the DFW area for onboarding, team engagement, and business needs.
- Perform other HR-related duties and special projects as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 5–8+ years of progressive HR experience, with strong emphasis in employee relations and business partnership
- Experience supporting multi-state workforces and remote employees
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage priorities in a part-time, flexible environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust with leaders
- Sound judgment and ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively within limited hours
- Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office tools
