Human Resources Director, OnsiteSchedule: Typical business hours are 8:30am-5pm, operational hours are 24/7

As the Human Resources Director at Wentworth Senior Living, you will be a key strategic leader responsible for aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals while fostering a strong, healthy workplace culture. This role oversees the full scope of HR operations, including:
1. Strategic Leadership & Culture Development- Align HR initiatives with WSL’s mission, values, and long-term organizational goals.
- Partner with the President/CEO on succession planning and leadership development.
- Drive employee engagement, staff retention, and culture-building programs.
- Support organizational change initiatives and coach managers on effective people management.
- Ensure equity, fairness, and consistency across HR practices and policies.
2. HR Operations, Compliance & Policy Management- Lead day-to-day HR functions, including policy interpretation, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
- Maintain current job descriptions, employee records, and compliant HR filing systems.
- Oversee monthly and quarterly audits for state and federal requirements (annual training, dementia training, background checks, resident rights, OSHA, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, wage and hour regulations, and workplace standards.
- Manage unemployment claims, workers’ compensation cases, and OSHA reporting.
3. Talent Acquisition, Onboarding & Staff Development- Oversee the recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and new-hire orientation processes.
- Supervise and support the HR Coordinator and HR Support Assistant
- Monitor completion of required training, ongoing development, and performance appraisals.
- Promote educational opportunities and professional development for staff.
- Ensure a smooth offboarding process, including benefits transition and COBRA administration.
4. Payroll, Benefits & Compensation Administration- Manage weekly payroll processing, including validation of hours, wages, deductions, and compliance with DOL guidelines.
- Oversee annual open enrollment, broker coordination, and benefits administration for new hires and terminations.
- Administer 401(k) weekly uploads, compliance reporting, and monitoring of loan repayment schedules.
- Prepare payroll reports, W-2/ACA submissions, and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate compensation data and support annual compensation and market reviews.
Qualifications- Minimum 5+ years of HR experience.
- PHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, solve problems, and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency with technology, payroll systems, and HR record management.
