We’re seeking an experienced HR Coordinator/Recruiter who brings a strong background in HR operations, full‑cycle recruiting, and Fleet/Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance. This role supports both people operations and driver‑related compliance, ensuring our workforce is fully staffed, compliant, and operating safely.
You’ll partner closely with HR, Operations, and Fleet leadership to manage hiring, onboarding, records management, and ongoing DOT requirements. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy balancing compliance with candidate experience, this is a great fit.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Manage full‑cycle recruiting for drivers, warehouse staff, mechanics, and administrative roles.
- Screen, interview, and assess candidates while maintaining a strong pipeline for high‑volume positions.
- Coordinate pre‑employment requirements including background checks, MVRs, drug tests, physicals, and DOT-related screenings.
- Schedule interviews, conduct reference checks, and ensure smooth, timely onboarding.
HR Coordination & Employee Support
- Maintain employee records in HRIS, ensuring accuracy of certifications, licenses, medical cards, and training logs.
- Support new‑hire onboarding, orientation, and documentation compliance.
- Assist with benefits administration, payroll updates, and general HR inquiries.
- Prepare and track HR documentation such as status changes, warnings, and training acknowledgments.
Fleet & DOT Compliance
- Oversee and track DOT requirements including driver qualification files (DQFs), medical certificates, MVR monitoring, and annual reviews.
- Maintain compliance logs for vehicle inspections, safety training, drug/alcohol testing, and incident reporting.
- Coordinate with Safety and Fleet teams to ensure drivers and vehicles meet federal, state, and local standards.
- Support audits and prepare documentation for DOT, CHP, and internal compliance reviews.
HR Reporting & Administration
- Maintain trackers for licenses, certifications, expirations, and training requirements.
- Prepare HR metrics and recruiting dashboards for leadership.
- Support policy updates, safety communications, and internal HR projects as needed.
