We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our team in Morris Plains, New Jersey. In this long-term contract role, you will manage a wide range of human resources functions, from recruitment and onboarding to benefits administration and compliance. This position is an excellent opportunity to contribute to employee engagement and organizational growth within the architecture industry.
Responsibilities:
• Lead recruitment efforts, including updating job descriptions, posting openings, and coordinating candidate communications through BambooHR.
• Ensure smooth onboarding for new hires by managing compliance documentation, conducting orientations, and setting up employee profiles in HR systems.
• Administer and maintain employee records in BambooHR, Paychex, and Deltek Vantagepoint, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements.
• Oversee benefits administration, including open enrollment, vendor communications, invoice reconciliation, and employee education.
• Coordinate performance review cycles and support managers in creating and monitoring performance improvement plans.
• Manage external HR vendors such as recruiters, benefits brokers, and workers’ compensation providers to ensure service quality and resolve issues.
• Facilitate offboarding processes, including exit interviews, documentation preparation, and system terminations.
• Assist with immigration and visa documentation for staff, while liaising with legal counsel to ensure compliance.
• Administer engagement surveys to gather employee feedback and support initiatives to improve workplace satisfaction.
• Generate regular personnel reports and ensure compliance with governmental reporting standards.
• At least 5 years of experience in human resources roles, demonstrating expertise in employee relations and HR administration.
• Proficiency in HRIS platforms such as BambooHR, Paychex, and Deltek Vantagepoint.
• Strong knowledge of onboarding processes and compliance requirements, including E-Verify/I-9 documentation.
• Proven ability to manage benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience with vendor management, including coordinating renewals and resolving service issues.
• Familiarity with immigration processes and visa documentation requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with employees across all levels.
