Our Client is seeking an accomplished Senior HR Leader to oversee human resources strategy and operations for a high-volume, seasonal workforce in the theme park and hospitality industry. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, operational expertise, and people leadership to drive engagement, compliance, and performance across the park.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives, advising leadership on trends and best practices.
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment, hiring, and onboarding for seasonal and full-time staff, ensuring optimal staffing during peak seasons.
- Manage HR operations including compliance, wardrobe, engagement events, housing, exchange programs, and supplemental staffing.
- Champion a positive park culture, driving employee engagement initiatives and resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Partner with leadership to align compensation strategies with park goals and budgets.
- Oversee orientation, leadership, and skills training programs to ensure performance and safety standards are met.
- Leverage HR metrics and KPIs to inform decisions and track effectiveness of HR practices.
- Manage performance and compensation review processes across divisions.
- Ensure compliance with California, federal, and local employment laws.
- Develop and manage HR budgets, adjusting labor and expenses to meet park needs.
- Flexibility to work nights, holidays, and weekends as required by business needs.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred), or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Experience in theme park or hospitality industry preferred, with a track record of managing high-volume seasonal staffing.
- SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.
