Brief Description
Position Summary
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for directing all of the people functions of the agency in accordance with the policies and practices of the agency and in adherence with all applicable laws and/or regulations. As a member of CRI’s executive management team, support the agency’s plans and programs as a strategic partner with particular emphasis on the impact on human resources.
The Director is responsible for the overall administration and coordination of the human resources and staff development functions of the organization
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and guidance to CRi’s people functions including, but not limited to, recruitment, retention, employee relations, information management, compensation, benefits and training
- Function as a strategic advisor to the executive management team and managers throughout the agency regarding key organizational, management and people issues.
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of industry trends, best practices, regulatory an employment law changes, and new innovations in human resources, HRIS systems and staff development.
- Develop appropriate policies, procedures and protocols for effective management of the people resources of the organization, to include, but not limited to agency compensation strategies; employee benefits programs; investigations and disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; FTE and productivity analysis; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce human resources policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the agency. In particular, manage the agency’s HRIS and LMS for critical analyses of the HR and training functions and the people resources of the organization
- Responsible for agency compliance with federal, state and local legislation, as well as licensure requirements pertaining to all human resources matters.
- Safeguards access to human resources information by the employees, supervisors, executive staff, government agencies, benefit providers, financial institutions, and employers.
- Develops, recommends and directs position classification, reclassification and salary plans, including maintenance of job descriptions
- Oversees staff development function which provides clinical, management and technical skills training.
- Recommends, evaluates and participates in management training and development programs.
- Develops and implements departmental budget.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with five (5) years’ experience as a Human Resources Executive.
- SHRM Certified Senior Professional (SPHR) preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and an ability to communicate with a diverse workforce with clinical teams mostly in remote locations.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop long term plans and programs.
- An orientation to the education of others on sound HR techniques and approaches.
