Position Summary
The Regional Human Resources Manager is a strategic, field‑based HR Business Partner who works closely with operations leadership to enhance organizational effectiveness, strengthen leadership capability, and mitigate people‑related risks. This role provides proactive, solutions‑oriented guidance that supports business performance across multiple locations.
Serving as a trusted advisor, the Regional HR Manager builds strong relationships at all levels and influences decisions through sound judgment, deep knowledge of employment practices, and an understanding of operational realities. The role requires regular field engagement to assess organizational health, anticipate issues, and help leaders create a consistent, high‑performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operations leaders to align people strategies with business goals and improve organizational performance.
- Build trust‑based relationships and serve as the primary HR advisor for leaders and employees across assigned locations.
- Lead complex employee relations matters, applying policy and employment law to guide leaders toward consistent, compliant solutions.
- Maintain strong field presence to understand workforce dynamics, identify trends, and proactively address risks or opportunities.
- Coach and develop managers to strengthen leadership capability, accountability, and effective people practices.
- Deliver targeted training on leadership, employee relations, and HR fundamentals.
- Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies and standards across all locations.
- Partner with Legal, Safety, and HR teams to address high‑risk issues and support aligned decision‑making.
- Maintain accurate documentation and safeguard confidentiality in all HR matters.
- Travel regularly (up to 50%) to support the needs of a multisite, field‑based workforce.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7–10 years progressive HR experience, including significant employee relations leadership.
- Proven HRBP experience supporting field‑based or multi‑site operations; transportation or logistics preferred.
- Strong judgment, communication skills, and ability to influence leaders at all levels.
- Knowledge of employment law; familiarity with DOT/FMCSA regulations.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment; regular travel required.
- HR certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM‑CP/SHRM‑SCP) preferred.
