What does a HR Generalist do at WPP Production?
The People team is focused on providing seamless support to our employees and internal stakeholders across North America. The HR Generalist will play a key role in providing day-to-day HR support, managing HRIS records, ensuring compliance, and assisting with employee programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating positive employee experience with an emphasis of data integrity. There is fantastic opportunity for growth and development for the right person.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Lifecycle Support: Support all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, records management, compensation changes, internal transfers and offboarding for CA/FL employees.
- HR Escalations: Serve as the day-to-day contact for employee HR issues, addressing concerns promptly, escalating to the SME.
- HR Point of Contact for Leaves and accommodations for CA/FL. Initial intake review and escalate to HRBP as needed
- HR Liaison between immigration attorneys and employees to facilitate documentation, communication and compliance.
- Technology Optimization: Support the implementation, maintenance and improvement of People tools; BambooHR and people systems, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.
- Employee Engagement & Culture: Collaborate with the HRBP to support operationalizing initiatives such as employee engagement and company culture on site.
- HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies by maintaining up-to-date employee records and assisting with audits for CA/FL employees.
- HR Point of Contact: Act as an initial point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, system navigation and procedures. Escalations to HRBP
- HR Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes for increased efficiency and improved employee experience in CA/FL.
- Payroll Support for FTE’s and Flex workers in CA/FL. Provide payroll date for payroll processing including Regular hours, Overtime hours, Leave of Absence Calculations, New Hire Paperwork, Conversions, Terminations to include PTO payments
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 4 years of professional human resources work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Calendar and SharePoint.
- Experience with an HRIS system such as Bamboo HR and Workday. (ADP and BambooHR preferred)
- A process improvement mindset is highly preferred
- Operates with attention to detail, multi-task and collaboration
