Position Summary:
The Director, HR serves as the senior People leader and strategic HR partner for Snap, responsible for building, formalizing, and scaling the company’s people practices as the business enters its next phase of maturity. This role operates as the single point of accountability for all HR-related strategy and execution, partnering closely with executive leadership to drive performance, consistency, and a strong employee experience.
Key Areas of Focus:
People Strategy & Business Partnership
• Act as the primary HR executive and trusted business partner to the CEO, President, and leadership team
• Translate business priorities into people strategies that support performance, growth, and organizational stability
• Provide guidance and recommendations on talent, organizational design, leadership effectiveness, and people-related risk, with authority to design frameworks and processes and responsibility to align leadership through buy-in
Talent Lifecycle & Development
• Own end-to-end onboarding strategy, including company-wide and department-specific onboarding resources
• Design and implement core people frameworks, including:
• Goal-setting and performance management frameworks
• Merit and performance review cycles
• Corrective action and performance improvement processes
• Lead learning and development initiatives to:
• Support onboarding and growth of new talent
• Develop and coach existing managers and senior leaders
• Strengthen leadership capability, accountability, and consistency
Recruiting & Workforce Planning
• Own recruiting strategy and execution across the organization
• Partner with leadership to define role requirements, evaluate talent, and make hiring decisions
• Ensure a consistent, high-quality candidate and hiring experience
Employee Experience, Culture & Consistency
• Oversee the employee experience end to end, with a focus on clarity, fairness, and belonging
• Serve as the single point of contact for employee relations and people-related matters
• Establish consistency in how people practices are applied across teams and leaders
HR Operations, Infrastructure & Standardization
• Build and maintain foundational HR processes, policies, and systems appropriate for the company’s size and growth stage
• Lead standardization efforts across the organization, including:
• Creating and maintaining clear job descriptions for all roles
• Establishing role clarity, expectations, and leveling where needed
• Oversee office experience and workplace-related needs in partnership with leadership
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, Master’s degree (MBA, MHRM, Organizational Leadership) preferred.
• Relevant HR certifications such as SHRM‑SCP or SPHR preferred.
• Proven senior‑level HR experience, typically as HR Manager or HR Director.
• Background leading HR teams, HR operations, and strategic HR initiatives.
• Experience overseeing key areas such as talent acquisition, compliance, compensation/benefits, and employee relations.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience managing HR in multi‑state or global organizations.
• Experience implementing or optimizing HRIS/HR technology.
• Background in organizational change management.
• Knowledge of remote/hybrid workforce policies.
Other Notes:
• Salary: $125,000-135,000 per year based on experience
• Job Type: Full-time
• Hybrid-Required to work in Camarillo, CA office 4 days a week with optional remote day
