About The Role
Clarvida is seeking a Director of People & Culture to serve as a senior People Business Partner and strategic thought partner to the VP of People & Culture and enterprise leaders. This role is responsible for advancing Clarvida’s people strategy, organizational effectiveness, and employee experience while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
The Director of People & Culture acts as a culture champion, translating business strategy into clear workforce, talent, and organizational solutions aligned with Clarvida’s mission and core values. In addition to People Business Partner responsibilities, this role supports organizational design, workforce strategy, executive communications, and enterprise initiatives through data-driven insights and consultative leadership.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the VP of People & Culture and senior leaders on people strategy, organizational health, and leadership effectiveness
- Partner with senior and operational leaders to design and evolve organizational structures aligned with business strategy and future-state operating models
- Translate enterprise strategy into workforce plans, talent implications, succession strategies, and change roadmaps
- Advise leaders on leadership pipelines, critical role readiness, and succession planning
- Provide end-to-end people partnership support to corporate leaders and teams, including performance management, talent reviews, engagement, employee relations, and change management
- Coach senior leaders on leadership effectiveness, team dynamics, and navigating complex people challenges
- Lead and support national People & Culture strategies aligned to organizational targets, objectives, and compliance requirements
- Serve as a subject matter expert in employee relations, ensuring concerns are documented, investigated, and resolved promptly and consistently
- Champion employee experience initiatives that reinforce accountability, compassion, advocacy, inclusion, and resilience
- Collect, analyze, and report on key HR metrics such as turnover, new hires, employee relations trends, and engagement surveys
- Ensure People & Culture policies, handbooks, and procedures remain compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Provide guidance to leaders and employees on HR policies and processes
- Communicate risks, roadblocks, and deviations from project timelines or compliance standards as needed
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management for assigned People & Culture team members
- Develop and mentor People & Culture leaders and professionals to build bench strength, succession readiness, and consistent delivery of services
- Support workforce planning and resource allocation for the People & Culture function to meet current and future organizational needs
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum eight (8) years of senior leadership experience in Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) or Employee Relations roles
- Multi-state and California employment law expertise
- Proven ability to impact organizational performance through effective HR strategies
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred

Salary: $125,000 - $14 0 ,000 (compensation is based on factors including experience, education, and location.
