Harmer is actively sourcing for a candidate for our Engineering and Industrial Design client located in Addison, TX for a contract HR Coordinator / HR Assistant opportunity. This is an immediate need supporting a fast-paced, culture-driven organization during a transitional period. The contract is expected to last 2–3 months, with potential for full-time consideration depending on internal staffing decisions.
Position Overview
The HR Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team, with a strong focus on onboarding, document management, and employee lifecycle processes. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, technology-forward, and thrives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute offer letters and new hire documentation packages
- Coordinate onboarding processes including I-9s, background checks, and employment documentation
- Collect, track, and audit new hire paperwork to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Maintain and organize digital employee files and HR records
- Process employee status updates including promotions, transfers, and changes
- Support offboarding activities and documentation
- Assist with recruitment scheduling and candidate coordination
- Prepare and route documents using digital signature platforms (DocuSign)
- Utilize Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Adobe tools for workflow and file management
- Support HR compliance initiatives and reporting as needed
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience i
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, DocuSign, and Adobe
- Professional demeanor with strong communication skills
