Position Summary
The HR Generalist/Manager will provide broad, hands-on human resources support for Eagle Title, a leading title and settlement company. This role owns key HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, employee relations, performance support, HR operations, and employee engagement. The ideal candidate is proactive, engaging, and confident managing HR responsibilities with increasing independence. This position is well‑suited for an experienced HR Generalist or an emerging HR Manager who enjoys working in a small‑company environment where HR has a direct impact on culture, compliance, and day‑to‑day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage full‑cycle recruitment for staff and professional roles, including job postings, applicant screening, hiring manager coordination, and interview support.
- Develop and maintain consistent hiring workflows and documentation.
- Oversee all onboarding activities, including offer letters, agreements, background checks, new‑hire paperwork, orientation, and first‑week experience.
- Partner with leadership to forecast staffing needs and drive talent pipeline improvements.
Employee Relations & HR Guidance
- Serve as a primary point of contact for HR questions and employee support.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on policies, performance expectations, and best practices.
- Support resolution of workplace issues with professionalism, confidentiality, and alignment with company values.
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, high‑engagement work environment.
Compliance & HR Operations
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific regulations (including real estate/title and legal requirements).
- Assist with policy development, employee handbook updates, and rollout of new procedures.
- Coordinate audits, reporting requirements, and regulatory documentation.
Benefits & Leave Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs, open enrollment, and vendor communication.
- Provide employee support related to benefits, eligibility, and claims.
- Manage leave requests (FMLA, PTO, medical leaves), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Performance, Training & Development
- Coordinate annual and mid‑year performance review processes.
- Support managers in documenting performance conversations and improvement plans.
- Organize staff training, continuing education, and compliance‑required certifications.
- Track CLEs and industry‑specific licensing/education requirements for attorneys and title professionals.
HR Reporting, Payroll Support & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Prepare routine HR metrics and reports (turnover, headcount, recruiting status, etc.).
- Work with Finance & Accounting to support payroll accuracy and timely updates.
- Partner with Technology and Operations for systems access, security, and onboarding/offboarding workflows.
Culture, Engagement & Employer Branding
- Lead internal engagement initiatives including events, wellness, appreciation programs, and recognition efforts.
- Support internal communication efforts that reinforce culture and organizational values.
- Assist in maintaining a positive employer brand for recruitment and retention.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of HR or administrative experience; experience in professional services or real estate/title industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency with MS Office and HRIS systems.

Compensation Range: $55,000-70,000 base salary, commensurate with experience.
