People Operations (HR) Assistant
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Salary: $60-70K
Reporting to: Director of People
Loeb & Loeb’s New York office seeks a Human Resources Assistant to support an office of 350 with recruiting, events, filing, benefit projects, and other administrative responsibilities. This position will support both the People Operations (HR) and the NY Office Administration team.
The Human Resources Assistant will have exposure to all aspects of the employee lifecycle and also support office operations and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting:
- Support recruiting function by compiling job descriptions and candidate applications.
- Post jobs via LinkedIn recruiter.
- Handle communications and interview scheduling.
- Support the onboarding process, preparing, collecting and reviewing all necessary paperwork and submitting for approval.
Events:
- Support in the planning and execution of office events, wellness events and benefit events.
Performance:
- Support mid-year and annual review process.
Administration:
- Schedule meetings and reserve conference rooms.
- Update and maintain employee records, ensuring precise data integrity; digitizing files; review forms for accuracy, track processes and deadlines.
Projects:
- Support staff initiatives, vendor RFPs, employee handbook updates, maintain applicable intranet pages.
- Work closely with Office Administrator to support internal assignments, relocations, personnel requests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 1-3 years of human resources support is required.
- Experience working for a law firm or other professional services firm is preferred.
- Possess a very strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships among lawyers and staff to achieve results.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to handle a variety of projects in a fast-paced and sometimes reactionary environment, and the ability to work some overtime if necessary to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office; HRIS experience - specifically SAP SuccessFactors is strongly preferred.
