【Summary】
As the Human Resources Director, you will lead and execute the people strategy across North America, supporting both field operations and corporate functions. This is a highly hands-on leadership role, requiring regular presence in the field and close partnership with business leaders to drive engagement, performance, and compliance. You will be responsible for the full HR lifecycle, including employee relations, talent development, performance management, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. Acting as a trusted advisor to leadership, you will balance strategic direction with day-to-day operational involvement, ensuring HR practices are aligned with company values and business objectives.
【Essential Duties】
HR Leadership and Strategy:
Lead and implement HR strategies that support business goals across retail, field, and corporate teams. Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing guidance on organizational structure, workforce planning, and people initiatives. Ensure consistent application of HR policies and practices across the region.
Employee Relations and Field Support:
Act as the primary point of escalation for complex employee relations matters, conducting investigations and recommending appropriate actions. Provide hands-on HR support to field leaders and store teams, maintaining regular on-site presence. Coach managers on performance management, conflict resolution, and employee engagement.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws across the US and Canada. Oversee HR policies, procedures, and documentation to mitigate risk and maintain consistency. Partner with legal and external advisors as needed on sensitive matters.
Talent Management and Development:
Oversee talent acquisition strategies in partnership with recruiting teams. Drive performance management processes, succession planning, and leadership development initiatives. Support training programs that strengthen management capability and employee growth.
HR Operations and Collaboration:
Partner closely with Payroll, Finance, and other corporate functions to ensure alignment and accuracy of people related processes. Oversee HR reporting, metrics, and insights to support informed decision-making. Support change management initiatives related to growth, restructuring, or new business initiatives.
【Qualifications】
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership responsibility at a senior or director level
• Demonstrated experience supporting both field-based and corporate organizations
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance across the US and Canada
• Excellent judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to influence and partner effectively with leaders at all levels
