About The Job
The Director of Human Resources leads HR strategy and operations for our Conyers manufacturing site. This role is responsible for shaping culture, building organizational capability, and ensuring a productive, diverse, and engaged workforce. The Director oversees all HR programs including talent management, employee relations, labor relations, compensation, benefits, and compliance, serving as the primary HR leader for the site.
What You'll Do
- Strategic HR Leadership: Partner with site leadership to align HR strategies with business goals. Act as a coach and trusted advisor on organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and change management. Responsible for leading and developing the local HR team.
- Culture & Engagement: Shape and sustain a positive, inclusive culture. Drive initiatives that engage employees and reinforce company values.
- Talent Management: Oversee recruiting and onboarding programs. Develop integrated talent strategies to build strong internal and external pipelines.
- Employee & Labor Relations: Serve as a resource for employees and managers. Address workplace issues promptly and fairly, ensuring compliance with employment laws and labor regulations. Manage union or labor-related matters, including negotiations and grievance resolution.
- Compensation & Benefits: Develops and manages processes to monitor market competitiveness and recommend improvements to attract and retain top talent. Evaluates and improves leave process management.
- Policy & Process: Develop, communicate, and enforce HR policies. Ensure consistent application and documentation across the site.
- Data & Reporting: Ensures efficient standards are developed and maintained for accurate and effective HR systems.
- Community & Communication: Support site communications, charitable initiatives, and employee engagement programs.
- Safety & Compliance: Collaborate with Safety Manager to enforce safety programs and regulatory compliance. Support audits and maintain documentation.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience (manufacturing preferred)
- Strong knowledge of employment law, labor relations, safety, and compliance
- Proven ability in talent management, organizational development, and culture shaping
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
