The Senior Director, Human Resources leads a team of HR professionals, provides thought leadership across all HR disciplines, and serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on talent, culture, organizational design, and offensive employee relations strategies. This leader leverages data to deliver insights and drive action, bringing strong business acumen and a practical mindset to every decision. With a bias for operational efficiency, consistency, and continuous improvement, the Senior Director understands the importance of creating and following standards of work, systems and when to take a flexible, adaptive approach. A true thought partner, this role helps shape organizational strategy while ensuring HR solutions are aligned with business goals.
This position will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.
Job Description
- Partner with business leaders to design and execute strategic and operational HR programs that strengthen culture, elevate performance, and enhance engagement across their organization.
- Coach leaders on effective execution of performance and talent management processes to reinforce a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous development.
- Delivers a comprehensive talent strategy that integrates all aspects of performance management, including Talent Reviews, GROW performance management, and succession planning.
- Lead the resolution of complex employee relations issues, including conducting investigations and partnering with the Director, Employee Relations and legal counsel as appropriate. Advise leaders on appropriate course of action.
- Leverages data to deliver insights and drive action, bringing strong business acumen and a practical mindset to every decision.
- Partner with HR colleagues to identify, design, and implement improvements in HR service delivery and operational effectiveness.
- Provide senior management with analytical information and insights (e.g., employee metrics, survey information) to facilitate holistic business decisions and guide business leaders' actions.
- Facilitate conflict resolution around sensitive issues.

- Collaborate with Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, and Learning & Organizational Development to ensure the organization attracts, develops, motivates, and retains top talent through effective staffing, development, performance, and reward strategies.
- Drive team growth by stretching capabilities, fostering high performance, and ensuring the recruitment of exceptional talent.
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including leading teams and partnering with leaders, managers and employees. 8 years of experience leading teams.
- BA/BS degree in business, communication, psychology industrial relations or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated business acumen and ability to align people strategy with business strategy.
- Strong and creative problem-solving skills are a must.
- Superb judgment and integrity, including excellent decision-making skills and a sense of urgency.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excel proficiency must include the ability to perform VLOOKUP functions, and PowerPoint skills must include the ability to create and develop full presentation decks.
- Maintains a strong awareness of market developments, industry trends, and innovations and uses information to advise clients of best practices.
- Skilled in presenting complex HR data clearly and confidently to large groups at all levels of the organization.
- Experience utilizing HR technology such as UKG, HR Soft, Service Now.
- Exceptional leadership, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Fluency in employment law, HR best practices, and organizational development principles. This includes wage and hour laws, leave and accommodation laws.
- Skilled in data-driven decision making; able to interpret people analytics to inform strategy.
- High emotional intelligence, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong communication skills, including executive-level presentation capability.
- Fluency in Spanish a plus.
Pay Range: $200,000 - $235,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
