Position Summary
The Sr. Human Resources Manager leads the HR function at a dynamic food manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Human Resources Director, this role partners closely with senior operations leadership and staffing agencies to ensure strategic HR alignment, appropriate staffing, and operational excellence. The HR leader drives workforce agility, culture-building initiatives, and continuous improvement across HR programs and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with production and workforce needs.
- Partner with senior leadership to drive organizational effectiveness and workforce planning.
- Lead culture-building initiatives that support a high-performance environment.
Agency & Workforce Management
- Oversee relationships with third-party staffing agencies.
- Ensure agency labor practices align with company standards.
- Monitor agency performance, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Align contingent labor strategies with production forecasts and seasonal demands.
HR Program Execution
Oversee execution of core HR programs, including:
- Recruitment and onboarding
- Training and career development
- Employee relations
- Compensation and benefits training
Support line managers in applying HR programs within their departments.
Policy & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (EEO, FMLA, FLSA).
- Respond to employee and candidate inquiries about HR policies.
- Lead investigations and risk mitigation efforts.
HR Operations & Service Delivery
- Oversee delivery of HR services across the full employee lifecycle.
- Design and improve scalable and compliant HR procedures.
- Ensure efficient execution of HR transactions and workflows.
- Partner cross-functionally to maintain accurate employee data.
- Drive operational excellence through metrics, audits, and system-supported solutions.
Culture & Engagement
- Champion employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of HR professionals.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development support.
- Collaborate with operations, safety, maintenance, FSQA, and EHS teams.
