Requirements for this position
** Experience being the sole HR Leader for an organization (Headcount 100-200 max)
** 5+ years of full cycle HR experience - employee relations, payroll/timesheet review (completed by 3rd party) benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding and policy review
** Bachelors Degree and PHR or SHRM certification both highly preferred
The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and track key HR metrics, goals, and processes to support company strategy.
- Manage all daily activities of the Human Resources department, including workflow and resource allocation.
- Collaborate on the development of HR department goals, operational plans, and systems improvements.
- Maintain and update job descriptions as business needs change; conduct and analyze salary surveys to ensure competitive compensation; oversee performance review processes and adjust as needed.
- Develop, recommend, and manage employee policies and procedures; regularly update and distribute the employee handbook; administer employee benefits, lead open enrollment and policy reviews, and coordinate employee appreciation events.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts for exempt and nonexempt positions, including temporary staffing and labor bill rate negotiations.
- Oversee onboarding, orientation, training and development initiatives; support career pathing, succession planning, employee relations, outplacement, and conduct exit interviews.
- Maintain department records—including organization charts, HR reports—and review data for accuracy and compliance.
- Continually assess and recommend new practices to improve HR department efficiency and effectiveness.
- Serve as a communication link between employees and management regarding company priorities, initiatives, and HR information.
- Foster a positive, engaging work environment that reflects and supports our company culture.
- Build and maintain constructive relationships across all organizational levels.
- Direct payroll administration, coordinating with external partners for payroll and benefits management, including 401(k) plans.
- Prepare and present HR reports, including key HR performance indicators, for leadership review.
