Overview
This is a rare opportunity to lead HR at a fast growing investment firm. you’ll work directly with senior leadership to build and manage all core people functions - ranging from recruiting and onboarding to performance management, professional development, and culture initiatives. You’ll play a key role in shaping our team as we scale from 20 to 40+ employees and grow our global presence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Serve as the firm’s primary people leader, shaping and executing HR strategy in alignment with Alpha Square Group’s goals
- Partner with leadership on org design, headcount planning, and long-term talent strategy
- Be a trusted advisor to the CEO and team leads on people matters
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Own end-to-end recruiting operations, including writing JDs, coordinating interviews, and managing offers
- Establish a structured, high-touch onboarding program for new hires
- Build relationships with search firms and talent networks when needed
Performance & Development
- Design and implement performance management processes that drive accountability and growth
- Develop career pathing frameworks and coordinate learning and development opportunities
- Create feedback and review cycles that are regular, actionable, and lightweight
Culture, Engagement & HR Ops
- Help codify and evolve the firm’s culture as we grow; be a steward of our values
- Plan team events, offsites, and other engagement initiatives
- Drive, execute, and continuously improve core HR operations—including compliance, employee relations, compensation reviews, and benefits strategy/design and administration (401(k), health plans, and other programs)—partnering with legal/finance as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of HR experience, ideally in high-growth finance, investing, or tech environments
- Experience operating in lean, high-performance cultures
- Comfortable rolling up your sleeves and operating independently in a fast-moving firm
- Excellent judgment and EQ; someone who leads with discretion and professionalism
- Strong project management skills; bias toward structure, clarity, and follow-through
