Essential FunctionsDaily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead, oversee, and develop the Human Resources team, fostering professional growth and high performance.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate HR programs, policies, and practices to strengthen employee relations and organizational effectiveness. Identify opportunities for improvement and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain and update job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
- Support recruitment by managing sourcing, testing, and interviewing processes; advising managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and recommending improvements.
- Prepare employees for success through effective onboarding and training programs.
- Ensure performance management by training managers on coaching and discipline practices, scheduling management conferences, resolving grievances, and counseling staff.
- Administer and communicate employee benefits programs; recommend enhancements to leadership.
- Manage the HR services budget, including background checks, uniforms, supplies, and other related costs.
- Promote workplace safety and health by developing and managing a comprehensive Safety Program, including Workers’ Compensation claims and Return-to-Work initiatives.
- Provide strategic counsel to management on people-related issues.
- Oversee Independent Contractor (IC) recruitment and the Adverse Action/Post-Offer Rejection process.
- Manage responses to unemployment claims.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws by monitoring requirements, maintaining records, conducting investigations, and representing the organization in hearings.
- Update, recommend, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate historical HR records.
- Stay current in the field by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, networking, and participating in professional associations.
- Implement performance management and improvement systems.
- Collaborate in executive, management, and departmental meetings to achieve organizational goals.
- Lead the company’s philanthropic and community outreach initiatives.
- Maintain the company’s presence on social media platforms.
- Establish HR metrics and reporting tools to track and support strategic objectives.
- Approve all separations and prepare separation agreements when necessary.
- Coordinate HR support for large-scale company events (>10,000 attendees at TIAA Bank Field).
- Develop and sustain a positive, employee-focused company culture through recognition programs, team-building events, and engagement initiatives.
Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of Human Resources or related experience.
