The Senior Corporate Director Human Resources is responsible for cultivating a positive Employee Relations function by assisting in the development and administration of employee relations activities for the Aimbridge Hospitality Corporate associates. Responsible for the oversight and management of employee relations issues, internal investigations and prompt problem resolution. Manages employee relations processes to ensure a proactive, fair and consistent approach across entities. Manages a variety of high-level HR projects and initiatives. Exempt associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is necessary to complete their job responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with at least 8 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; experience within hospitality industry desired.
- PHR Certification is desired.
- Experience in implementing initiatives and influencing change through results-oriented leadership.
- Must have experience managing Human Resource activities within in a large, multi-site/multi state environment
- Extensive knowledge of multi state and Federal laws and regulations is required.
- Experience with Ultipro and an advanced knowledge of Excel is preferred.
- Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be detail-oriented, highly organized and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize daily responsibilities
- Must have the ability to adapt to an ever-changing workload, takes initiative to improve processes and does not settle for status quo
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Responsibilities
- Approaches all encounters with employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
- Maintains regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality dress code and wearing a name tag when working (per brand standards).
- Maintains a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Coordinates the transition team from available resources to include Field HR Directors across the portfolio.
- Serves as point person for all communications related to acquisitions
- Delegates and monitors transition team task and responsibilities
- Serves as the HR representative in dealings with seller or outgoing management company
- Coordinates onboarding and continued training for new HR associates and/or GMs with HR responsibilities joining Aimbridge after an acquisition.
- Coordinates smooth transition of hotels Dispositions, monitors Acquisition calendar to ensure timely planning
- Works closely with Operations team to coordinate closings
- Assists in identifying Managers to be retained prior to a hotel closing and ensures proper transfers
- Handles administration of corporate files and or General Managers files
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems
- Collaborates with respective centers of excellence (i.e. Compensation, HRIS, HRMS Data, Talent, etc.) to effectively support the roll out of company-wide HR initiatives.
- Assists the VP of HR in managing all Corporate outreach events, volunteer programs, disaster relief efforts, and employee events.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
