TITLE: Sr. Director/VP, HR Corporate Strategy
LOCATION: Seattle, WA (Hybrid Remote)

PAY RANGE: 175-195K base plus benefits
We are seeking a dynamic Senior HR leader to drive strategy, transformation, and operations for a global organization in the shipping and logistics industry. This role will partner with executive leadership in an international, matrixed environment to modernize HR systems, streamline processes, and deliver data-driven insights that shape business growth. RESPONSIBILITIES:
· International Matrix Oversight: Manage HR operations across multiple countries, ensuring alignment with global standards and local regulations. Collaborate with regional HR teams to implement policies and procedures that support the overall strategy.
· Centralization of Systems and Processes: Develop and implement centralized HR systems, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations, to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
· Strategic HR Leadership: Provide strategic direction for HR functions, including talent management, organizational development, and succession planning. Work closely with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with business goals.
· Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all international labor laws and regulations. Develop and enforce policies to mitigate risks and protect the company’s interests.
· Employee Engagement and Culture: Foster a positive work environment by promoting employee engagement initiatives and maintaining a strong company culture. Implement programs that support employee well-being and professional growth.
· Performance Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for HR functions and provide regular reports to executive leadership. Use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.
· Change Management: Lead HR-related change management initiatives to support organizational transformation and growth. Ensure effective communication and training during transitions.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
· Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
· Proven experience in managing HR operations in an international matrix organization.
· Experience supporting private equity–backed organizations, including familiarity with investor reporting, board-level metrics, and driving HR initiatives in fast-paced, transformation-focused environments.
· Strong knowledge of HR systems and processes, with a focus on centralization and standardization.
· Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
· In-depth understanding of international labor laws and regulations.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Up to 30% international travel may be required.
