Position Summary
The HR Director will serve as the senior-most HR leader, responsible for building, scaling, and leading the Human Resources function across all company locations. This role is pivotal in supporting business growth, technical excellence, and a high-performance culture within the energy sector. The HR Director will oversee the full HR lifecycle talent acquisition, employee engagement, compliance, organizational development, compensation, payroll, benefits, and culture while partnering with senior leadership to align HR strategy with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities-
Strategic Leadership
- Design and execute long-term HR strategies aligned with business goals and values.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on workforce planning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.
- Build and lead a high-performing HR team to support multi-site operations.
Talent Management & Development
- Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract top-tier technical, field, and corporate talent.
- Lead succession planning and career development programs.
- Launch leadership development initiatives to build internal capabilities and future leaders.
Culture, Engagement & Employee Ownership
- Champion company values and foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, communication strategies, and recognition programs.
- Promote accountability and transparency across all levels of the organization.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Oversee HR systems, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state (especially Texas), and local employment laws.
- Manage compensation, payroll, benefits, and performance management frameworks.
Organizational Development
- Drive organizational design and change management initiatives to support scalability and cross-functional alignment.
- Support integration of new systems, facilities, or teams as the company expands.'
Data, Metrics & Reporting
- Establish and monitor key HR metrics to inform strategic decisions.
- Present HR insights and reports to senior leadership on trends, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including 5+ years at the Director level.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. labor law and HR best practices.
- Proven success in leading HR teams in growth-stage or multi-site organizations.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred
- Experience in energy, industrial, chemical, or manufacturing sectors.
- Familiarity with employee-owned (ESOP) organizations.
- HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
- Experience with HRIS systems and data-driven HR practices.
Work Environment & Compensation
- Location: Dallas, TX (in-person or hybrid depending on company policy).
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours.
- Travel: Occasional (up to 25%) to field sites or corporate offices.
- Compensation: $150,000–$180,000 base + bonus + stock options (if applicable).
