AG&E is an international structural engineering firm headquartered in Dallas, TX. Founded in 2004, AG&E has 8 offices across the US, and an office in India and Brazil. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead our HR team and partner closely with senior leadership to drive people strategies that align with our business objectives.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits, performance management, and organizational development. This role has a strong emphasis on employment-based immigration and visa processing (including H-1B, PERM, etc.) and support for employees throughout the immigration lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and oversee daily HR operations, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Oversee employment-based immigration, including H-1B, green card processing, and other visa sponsorships.
- Partner with legal counsel and employees to ensure timely, accurate visa applications and renewals.
- Ensure compliance with immigration regulations and maintain all required records and documentation.
- Develop and administer HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Administer benefits and performance evaluation programs.
- Drive strategic recruitment initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
- Partner with leadership to promote employee engagement and organizational development.
- Prepare and maintain HR reports, records, and compliance filings.
- Act as a trusted advisor to management on HR policy and employee matters.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations (EEO, ADA, etc.).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field (preferred).
- 7+ years of HR experience, including at least 5 years in a management role.
- Experience managing immigration/visa processes (H-1B, PERM, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- Broad HR generalist expertise, including employee relations, coaching, performance management, and benefits.
- Strong knowledge of HR regulations and compliance.
- Demonstrated success in recruitment and retention strategies.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-growth environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and collaboration with senior leadership.
