Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our organization as an HR Manager. The HR Manager is responsible for managing and owning all aspects of the Human Resources function in the US. This includes a variety of tasks such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, data management, and general administrative support. They will be the main point of contact for employees and will help maintain, analyze, develop, and improve processes across all HR facets.
Responsibilities
- Own the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing new hire paperwork, conducting orientations, and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR data and records, including employee information, benefits enrollment, and payroll data
- Support employee relations efforts by maintaining positive relationships with employees, responding to employee inquiries, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures
- Assist with benefits administration, including processing enrollment and changes, and answering employee questions about benefits
- Lead and resolve complex employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and employment regulations
- Oversee the execution of annual performance and compensation review processes
- Support in-office operations (employee experience, office supplies, coordination, logistics, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or similar experience, ideally in a start-up or fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with CA employment laws and HR policies and procedures
- Deep understanding of payroll, benefits administration, and HR compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Experience owning HR in a startup or high-growth environment is a plus
- Experience with ADP WorkforceNow is a plus

Pay Range: $80,000 - $120,000
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects a minimum and maximum target. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
