Principal Function: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for scouting, sourcing, and engaging qualified delivery driver candidates for Now Courier’s independent contractor and commercial driver operations. This role oversees the full recruiting lifecycle for parcel delivery contractors, Class A and Class B commercial drivers, and owner operators participating in the Lease to Own (LTO) program. The position is a critical contributor to a positive driver experience (driver care), ensuring efficient onboarding, compliance, training, certification, mentorship assignment, and post onboarding follow up to support long term driver success and retention.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:
Recruiting & Talent Pipeline Management
- Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding process for contractor and commercial drivers across all Now Courier locations, ensuring a consistent, high‑quality candidate and driver experience.
- Lead recruitment efforts for:
- Parcel delivery independent contractors using their own vehicles
- Class A and Class B commercial drivers
- Class A and B owner‑operators participating in the Lease‑to‑Own (LTO) program for Sprinter Vans, tractor day cabs, and dock trucks.
- Actively source candidates through multiple channels, including job boards, referrals, social media, branding initiatives, and local labor market partnerships.
- Develop, manage, evaluate, and optimize driver recruiting pipelines to ensure sufficient and sustainable applicant flow aligned with operational demand.
- Screen, interview, and assess candidates to ensure proper role fit, safety standards, compliance requirements, and operational readiness.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
Onboarding, Driver Care & Experience
- Own the driver onboarding experience from offer acceptance through post‑launch follow‑up, ensuring new drivers feel supported, informed, and prepared.
- Coordinate onboarding timelines, documentation, background checks, DOT/FMCSA requirements, vehicle qualification, and system access.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for new drivers during onboarding, addressing questions, concerns, and barriers to successful launch.
- Assign mentor drivers to new contractors and commercial drivers as part of structured onboarding and early performance support.
- Conduct post‑onboarding follow‑ups to assess driver readiness, satisfaction, and early‑stage issues; escalate or resolve concerns in partnership with Operations and Contractor Relations.
- Contribute to a positive, professional employer and driver brand through consistent communication and care‑focused onboarding practices.
Systems, Reporting & Communication
- Manage job postings, candidate flow, and recruiting data within the company’s ATS, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Maintain clear, proactive communication with Branch Managers, Operations, Contractor Relations, Safety, and Senior Leadership throughout the recruiting and onboarding process.
- Provide regular reports on recruiting activity, pipeline health, onboarding progress, and driver readiness to Senior Leadership and operational stakeholders.
- Identify recruiting bottlenecks, onboarding delays, or compliance gaps and recommend process improvements.
Lease‑to‑Own (LTO) Program Support
- Support recruitment and onboarding of drivers entering the Lease‑to‑Own program for Sprinter Vans, tractor day cabs, and dock trucks.
- Educate candidates on LTO program requirements, expectations, and timelines in coordination with Contractor Relations and Operations.
- Ensure LTO drivers complete all onboarding, compliance, and vehicle qualification requirements prior to launch.
Employer Branding & Referral Programs
- Represent Now Courier’s employer brand consistently and professionally in all external recruiting interactions.
- Partner with internal teams to promote Now Courier as a strong opportunity for independent contractors and commercial drivers.
- Manage and administer the driver referral program, including promotion, tracking, and coordination of referral incentives.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job does not have employee supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience: Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Previous experience working in a recruitment or human resources role is required. Previous experience in the logistics and distribution industry is desired.

This job operates primarily in a professional office environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. However, job duties may require one to operate in a warehouse environment with moderate safety/health hazard potential. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. This role is required to be on-site.
While the offices of NOW Courier are open from 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, this job may require work beyond these hours and on the weekends.
