LegacyMD is a fast-growing management services organization (MSO) that supports concierge primary care practices. Operating across the Indianapolis and New York City markets, LegacyMD is intentionally building the infrastructure needed to support a dynamic M&A strategy while scaling in a thoughtful and sustainable way. Our organization currently includes 65 team members, with 40 based at Priority Physicians in Indianapolis and 25 at HealthBridge in New York City.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Director of Human Resources to build, own, and evolve our people operations function. This is a foundational leadership role designed for a hands-on HR leader who is excited to grow with the organization. The Director of HR will initially focus on selecting and implementing a scalable Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and then assume end-to-end ownership of payroll and benefits oversight, HR administration, compliance, and people operations as the company grows.
This role will work closely with the executive team and play a critical role in integrating new acquisitions, supporting leaders, and establishing the systems, processes, and culture required for long-term success.
This role is expected to be in-office and home-located in Fishers, IN. Remote support will be routinely required for all LegacyMD member practices, with periodic travel to those locations also required.
What You’ll Do
- Lead selection and implementation of a scalable HRIS
- Oversee payroll, benefits, compliance, and HR operations
- Manage full employee lifecycle (hiring, onboarding, performance, employee relations)
- Develop policies, handbooks, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Support M&A integration, including onboarding and cultural alignment of acquired teams
- Partner with leadership on organizational design, talent strategy, and change management
- Build HR infrastructure, KPIs, and processes to support a multi-state organization
What You Bring
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including building or scaling HR functions
- Experience implementing an HRIS in a growing organization
- Strong knowledge of payroll, benefits, and employment law
- Experience supporting multi-location or multi-state teams
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on

Healthcare, professional services, and/or M&A experience
