The Human Resources Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing all human resource functions within our organization. This individual will ensure the effective management of human resources to support organizational goals. The key responsibilities include management coaching, employee development, company culture, compliance with employment laws and regulations, and oversight of talent acquisition and payroll. This position reports to the company president.
Your Opportunity:
Further, the duties associated with this position include, but are not limited to, the following items:
- BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP: Effectively partner with assigned client groups to identify and execute HR priorities by translating business strategy and requirements into value-added approaches to leadership development, change management and workforce planning.
- TALENT ACQUISITION: Oversee recruitment for assigned client group from identification of staffing needs through onboarding/immersion. Facilitates passive recruitment process; directly engages in active recruiting and candidate funnel development.
- PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT: Drive the Performance Management process within assigned client groups. Work with managers and associates to identify and address performance-related issues. Provide coaching and support to managers on corrective action items, including performance improvement plans and behavioral issues. Coordinates with other leadership to ensure associates have the required tools/resources to successfully service clients.
- TALENT DEVELOPMENT: Drive the talent review process for assigned client groups, consult with/train management and associates on setting up Associate Development Plans to improve bench strength and achieve talent development objectives. Develop and conduct soft skills training programs to address talent development needs.
- COMPENSATION: Manage compensation programs for assigned client groups, including annual merit review and incentive programs. Provide advice in the areas of industry best practices regarding salary guidelines, external pay practices, competitive market philosophies, and compensation administration in order to ensure compensation equity across the organization. Oversight of biweekly payroll.
- CHANGE MANAGEMENT: Influence continuous improvement within assigned client group and the HR team; act as a catalyst of change and stimulating others. Coach various levels of the organization through the change process in such way that the organization continues to evolve towards better performance while increasing the engagement of the associates.
- ASSOCIATE RELATIONS: Identify trends and conduct root cause analysis of issues impacting associate engagement and retention; recommend/implement programs to effectively address issues identified. Facilitate associate engagement survey process, focus group feedback and response plan development.
- DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS/TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT: Guide/mentor management on disciplinary and termination processes. Facilitate appropriate associate disciplinary and termination actions for assigned client group; identify trends, conduct root cause analysis and recommend actions to mitigate impact.
- INCIDENT RESPONSE: Manage the company's Injury Response and Worker's Compensation program (for all client groups), including assignment of initial treatment provider, WC carrier notification, RTW procedures, and case follow-up with carrier and annual audit.
Your Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of progressive human resources experience
- Previous managerial experience (preferred)
- 4-year college degree is required
- SHRM-CP/PHR, SHRM-SCP/SPHR certification (preferred)
- Working knowledge of the following is preferred:
o ADP Workforce Now
o Microsoft Office Suite
o Deltek
