A large, publicly traded organization that continues to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is looking to add an HR Manager to their growing team. The company is actively building out their people infrastructure and requires a hands-on HR leader who can help stabilize, scale, and elevate core HR operations while supporting leadership through ongoing organizational growth and change
The HR Manager will serve as a highly operational, hands-on leader responsible for executing day-to-day HR functions while partnering closely with leadership in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a proactive, solution-oriented professional who can quickly identify patterns, anticipate issues, and drive practical solutions rather than simply flagging problems. Public company experience is required, along with the ability to coach early-stage and developing managers through both basic and complex people management conversations with confidence. Responsibilities of the HR Manager:
- Own core HR operations, including employee lifecycle management, HRIS administration (Paylocity), benefits coordination, and payroll/HR data changes.
- Lead employee relations efforts, including investigations, documentation, and multi-state compliance support.
- Coach and develop managers on performance management, communication, and difficult employee conversations.
- Support HR systems, reporting, and process improvement while ensuring data accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Exposure to HR metrics and reporting functionality to provide reports to the executive leadership team.
Required Experience/Skills for the HR Manager:
- 5 - 7+ years of progressive HR experience with strong operational leadership, including employee relations, investigations, documentation, and multistate compliance in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Hands-on HRIS experience (Paylocity preferred), including benefits administration, employment status changes, and system support, with comfort operating in environments where HR processes are still being built or refined.
Preferred Experience for the HR Manager:
- Exposure to payroll coordination and benefits administration support.
- Experience working closely with executives and presenting HR insights to leadership.
- Ability to adjust to fast growth in a highly regulated industry.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in HR is required.
- SHRM is required
