Position Summary
AMPYR Energy USA (AMPYR) is seeking a Manager, Human Resources to join our rapidly growing team in North America.
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to manage all HR operations, ensuring the effective implementation of HR strategies and processes. This role is crucial for maintaining a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and supporting the company's growth through effective recruitment, training, and employee relations.
Compensation: Up to $90,000 | Part-time | 20 hours/week
Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Recruitment and Staffing:
- Facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation and onboarding programs
Employee Relations:
- Implement actions to foster a positive work environment
- Identify and undertake initiatives to champion team-building, engagement and corporate culture
- Support in managing employee relations issues.
- Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to management.
HR Operations:
- Manage HR systems and ensure data integrity.
- Payroll & Benefits: Manage Payroll in conjunction with the PEO provider. Handle employee benefits enrollment, delivery and inquiries, leveraging the PEO provider as required.
- Performance management: Support day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Help in conducting salary benchmarking and developing competitive compensation packages. Facilitate year-end review and compensation processes.
- Benefits: Support management of Company’s employee related benefits, including health, life, and disability insurance. Serve as a primary contact for employment policies, benefits inquiries.
- Stay updated on insurance regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws.
Compliance and Policy Management:
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Support in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations including immigration requirements (e.g., visas and green cards).
- Support development, update, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
- Set up training; provide HR policy guidance as required.
- Oversee workplace safety programs including HSE and IIPP policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Training and Development:
- Support managers with identifying training needs and developing training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
- Support career development and succession planning initiatives.
ESG Integration:
- Ensure HR policies and practices align with ESG principles including D&I
Qualifications, Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required.
- A minimum of 6 years of HR Operations experience.
- Experience with a startup or growing organization is a plus.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including recruitment, compensation, organizational design, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employee relations.
- One or more of the HR certifications - PHR/SPHR/ SHRM is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with HRIS (HR Information System) and PEO platforms preferred.
