People Operations Generalist - Hybrid (flexible, 2 days/week in Midtown NYC office)
Are you a hands-on HR professional who loves building great employee experiences and making processes run smoothly? Virtual Incentives, a growth-stage rewards and incentives technology company, is looking for a HR & People Operations Generalist to join our team and partner closely with our CHRO.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for someone with 2–4+ years of HR experience who wants broad exposure across People Operations in a collaborative, tech-forward environment.
💼 WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Employee lifecycle: Own onboarding and offboarding workflows, I-9 compliance, documentation, and HRIS updates.
- Benefits administration: Serve as the go-to resource for employee benefits questions and coordinate open enrollment.
- HRIS management: Maintain data accuracy in Rippling, support HR reporting, and improve system workflows.
- PEO & EOR coordination: Partner with our domestic PEO and international EOR provider to support a globally distributed team.
- Compliance & leave: Support leave administration and ensure compliance with U.S. federal and applicable local employment law.
- Employee experience: Coordinate engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and team events.
- Process improvement: Identify workflow bottlenecks and use AI tools and automation to improve team efficiency.
- HR reporting: Maintain accurate people data and assist in report generation on headcount, turnover, benefits participation, etc.
✅ WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2–4+ years specifically in HR (People Ops, HR Coordinator, or a similar role including significant internships)
- Proven Experience with full-cycle onboarding and offboarding
- Proficiency with an HRIS platform (Rippling, BambooHR, Gusto, or similar)
- Comfort using AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini) to improve productivity and draft communications
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential matters
Nice to have: experience in tech, fintech, SaaS, or payments; familiarity with PEO/EOR providers; Rippling experience specifically.
💰 COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $78,000 – $90,000 (depending on location and experience)
