Recruiter Coordinator
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
We are currently seeking a dependable and professional Recruiter Coordinator for our Sterling Heights office. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, people-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced staffing and office environment.
The person in this role will support the hiring process from start to finish, including applicant communication, pre-screening, onboarding, and helping candidates move through each step of the process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Interview and pre-screen candidates for open positions
- Assist with onboarding new hires
- Conduct orientations and review workplace expectations with employees
- Coordinate and schedule background checks and drug tests
- Communicate with applicants regarding job opportunities, next steps, and start details
- Maintain accurate candidate and employee records
- Provide customer service support to applicants, employees, and clients
- Follow up with candidates throughout the hiring process
- Help ensure all required paperwork and pre-employment steps are completed
- Support office operations and recruiting efforts as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous recruiting, staffing, office, or customer service experience is preferred
- Strong communication and people skills
- Comfortable interviewing and speaking with candidates in person and over the phone
- Must be organized and able to manage multiple tasks at once
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
- Basic computer skills required
- Professional attitude and strong follow-up skills
- Dependable attendance is required
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with onboarding, orientations, or applicant screening
- Experience scheduling or coordinating background checks and drug tests
- Ability to build rapport with candidates and provide a positive hiring experience
