Position Summary
Defense Holdings, Inc. (DHi) is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead our HR department in managing employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in HR leadership, employee development, and organizational management.
This role requires strategic thinking, a thorough understanding of HR best practices, and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Staffing
- Oversee the recruitment and hiring process, ensuring the attraction of top talent.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and create effective recruitment strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws during the hiring process.
Employee Relations & Development
- Act as a resource for employees, addressing concerns and providing support on HR-related matters.
- Develop and implement employee development programs to promote professional growth.
- Foster a positive work environment that aligns with company culture and values.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and reports.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to HR policies and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in human resources management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
- Experience in the defense contracting industry.

Work Environment
- Professional office environment (or hybrid/remote if applicable).
- May require occasional travel.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance may be required.
