Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Human Resources Director/Head of People and Culture based in Middletown, CT. The successful candidate will lead the HR functions, ensuring compliance with labor laws, developing and implementing HR policies, and managing employee relations to create a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Key responsibilities include spearheading performance management initiatives, consulting on organizational development, providing strategic leadership, and aligning people strategies with the credit union’s mission and values. The role requires collaboration with leadership to drive change, enhance talent acquisition processes, and support employee growth and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Human Resources, HR Policies, and comprehensive HR management practices.
- Proficiency in Employee Relations and strategies for developing a positive workplace culture.
- Expertise in Performance Management and initiatives to foster growth, engagement, and employee development.
- Solid understanding of Labor and Employment Law to ensure compliance and risk management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a collaborative mindset and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a focus on organizational development and talent management.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree or HR certification(s) such as PHR/SPHR a plus.
- Prior experience in leadership roles within financial services or member-centric organizations preferred.
Salary Range = $75,000-$85,000 annually
