We're hiring our first People Operations role to build the foundation of our people function with significant autonomy to build scalable systems / processes as we grow. This is a strategic role combining HR operations, benefits administration, and workplace experience. You'll manage everything people-related, from employee lifecycle management to culture-building and office operations. This role reports to our VP of Finance.
What You'll Do
- Own the people function end-to-end, including recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, performance processes, manager support, and HR compliance
- Run recruiting operations and talent pipeline infrastructure (tools, processes, coordination), partnering with leadership to support hiring plans
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions and sensitive people matters, operating with high judgment and discretion
- Help administer and optimize benefits programs (health insurance, 401(k), perks) and serve as point of contact for employee questions
- Manage HRIS systems, employee records, and people analytics to inform headcount planning and organizational decisions
- Design and execute team events, offsites, and culture initiatives that strengthen engagement and retention
- Oversee day-to-day office operations including facilities, vendors, supplies, and budget management
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience in people operations or HR, preferably at a startup or fast-paced tech/fintech company (20-100 people ideal)
- Proven experience with benefits administration, HR compliance, and HRIS platforms (ADP)
- Track record of building people / recruiting processes and systems from scratch in a high-growth environment
- Strategic thinker who can balance hands-on execution with longer-term planning
- Exceptional judgment handling confidential employee matters with discretion and empathy
- Strong organizational skills with ability to juggle HR responsibilities and workplace experience seamlessly
- Genuine passion for creating cultures where people thrive and building the people function as a competitive advantage
The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
