Louisiana Educational Television Authority (LPB) is seeking an experienced and strategic
HR Director A to oversee benefits administration, compliance reporting, and workforce programs. This position leads employee relations functions, including investigations and disciplinary actions in accordance with State Civil Service Rules, and ensures agency-wide compliance with federal and state regulations. Preference may be given to candidates who
possess working knowledge of LaGov HCM and demonstrate strong expertise in public-sector HR practices. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compliance-driven, and committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism, accountability, and service.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Seven years of human resources experience; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus four years of human resources experience; OR
A bachelor's degree plus four years of human resources experience; OR
An advanced degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, industrial and organizational psychology, organizational behavior, or a Juris Doctorate plus three years of human resources experience.
Experience Substitution:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
Designation as a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), or a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

Job Duties And Other Information
Job Duties:
- Oversee benefits administration, retirement processing, insurance enrollments, and billing reconciliation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Lead employee relations functions, including investigations and disciplinary actions in accordance with Civil Service Rules.
- Administer and monitor the Performance Evaluation System (PES) to ensure agency-wide compliance.
- Coordinate the agency’s Affirmative Action Plan and manage State Civil Service audit responses.
- Serve as CPTP/ORM Training Coordinator and oversee FCC and CPB HR compliance reporting.

Appointment Type: Probational
Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday; however, varying work schedules are offered.
Division: Administration Department (Human Resources)
Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Applicants that possess experience greater than the minimum qualifications may be considered for a salary higher than the minimum hiring rate utilizing State Civil Service Rule 6.5(g).
- NOTE: Regarding the advertised pay range: The advertised maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career, and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
