HR Business Partner – North America
Location: New York City (Hybrid)
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000
Overview
A founder-led, global consumer business is strengthening its North America operation and aligning it more closely with its global framework. This is a high-impact role for a strategic People leader who can influence senior stakeholders, drive change, and deliver a best-in-class employee experience.
The Role
- Partner with senior leaders to drive organisational effectiveness and business performance
- Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and organisational design initiatives
- Support change initiatives and embed global ways of working while adapting to local needs
- Deliver talent, performance, and reward programs aligned to global priorities
- Coach leaders on performance management, accountability, and inclusive leadership
- Oversee HR operations, including payroll, benefits, HR systems integrity, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Manage complex employee relations matters, investigations, restructures, and terminations with discretion
- Use people data, engagement surveys, and market insights to inform decisions and strategy
- Champion engagement, inclusion, wellbeing, learning initiatives, and a people-centric employee experience
About You
- 7+ years’ HR experience, with significant senior-level exposure
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and matrixed global organisations
- Experience leading organisational change and building cohesive teams
- Data-driven, commercially aware, and comfortable influencing the C-suite
- SHRM or PHR preferred; experience in fast-paced consumer or retail sectors advantageous
