We are seeking a Human Resource Generalist who is detail-oriented, organized, enthusiastic, goal-oriented, and enjoys being the first impression of the company. The ideal candidate will balance technical day-to-day HR responsibilities with people-centric initiatives such as employee engagement and professional development. This is a hybrid role, with in-office days on Tuesday and Wednesday of each week.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Act as a trusted HR advisor, providing responsive and compassionate support to employees across all levels, addressing a wide range of HR-related inquiries, concerns, and challenges with empathy and expertise.
- Guide employees and partners through a seamless integration process, from the first point of contact to their successful start date.
- Oversee comprehensive benefits administration, including processing qualifying life events, FMLA requests, and COBRA enrollments.
- Conduct thorough biweekly payroll audits and pre-payroll check reviews to ensure accurate consultant compensation.
- Maintain and update the employee handbook annually while ensuring ongoing compliance with changing state and federal regulations.
- Provide the essential back-end support that allows our consultant workforce to thrive, managing contract extensions and status transitions.
- Bring the team together through creative engagement events, wellness initiatives, and thoughtful gifting programs.
- Facilitate professional development and onboarding training sessions covering workplace professionalism, diversity, safety, and HQ security protocols.
- Perform regular HR compliance audits, including annual worksite location audits and ad-hoc client onboarding audits.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related fields such as Human Resources, Business Administration, or Organizational Development.
- 2+ years of progressive HR experience with a solid understanding of core HR functions including employee relations, compliance, and benefits.
- A curious, growth-oriented mindset that looks for ways to use AI and innovative technologies to drive efficiency and work smarter.
- Exceptional people skills with a focus on providing high-level employee connection and satisfaction.
- Technical savvy required to manage modern HRIS platforms and troubleshoot user issues on the fly.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Prior experience navigating the Rippling platform.
- Public Notary certification, or willingness to obtain, to support company documentation needs.
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR).
- Experience with multi-state HR operations.
- Expertise in technology or staffing industry.
